Year 2 - Days 85 through 94

I've been busy. School is really kicking-my-butt this semester, but I have been taking my pictures, just not always posting them so you get them in a bunch again...  Day 85 is the Union Soldiers on down to Day 94 which is my baby, H2.

The Husband put all the stuffed animals on the fan & turned it on sending them flying everywhere.  I am personally afraid of what the bunny is planning.

Day 342: Viking

Today we were shooting some still lifes in Digital Imaging.  Well, things got infinitely more interesting when we found out the pumpkin was actually a Viking

Day 251: Waiting Room

I feel like I've been in this one enough.  Tomorrow at 4 p.m. I will be back again for more peeking up the sniffer.  Last check until after the long weekend.  Its not so much the office - but the almost 60 minutes of traveling - ONE WAY.  But the doctor is worth the travel (as well as my peace of mind).

Day 250: My day in a photo

Ok, this was not my whole day, but pretty much 75% of it.  We picked it up on the way home from the doctor today.  The kids played from the moment we walked in the door.  H2 skipped lunch (although I don't blame him - the doctor totally tortured him this AM) to keep playing. They only stopped for dinner and bed.  The only time I got to play was bath time.

YES, I am completely addicted to the Lego games.  It might be because it is the ONLY game I where I can beat the kids.

Day 234: Just the fax

I'm the opposite of most people I'm home Monday through Friday with the kids & I work Saturday & Sunday.  So basically I think all you people living for the weekends are nuts. Today was a work day for me......

Day 230: Everybody deserves a break

Right?  I personally would take it in a break room, with air conditioning, or at least find a shady spot.   Or maybe it was a really important text message.

Day 228: A lighted trail

It was on this walk - and it wasn't a very far walk - that I was exposed to the horrors that might be poison ivy.  I noticed when I went under the underpass that there were spotlights all over the ground.  I was surprised to find that there were tiny holes (about 1 inch) in the pavement above to let the light through.  I loved the way the lights made tiny little spotlights.

At least that's what the 7 year old photo genius H2 said when he edited this.

Day 221: Medications

I've been sick - in the hospital sick.  I've never been in the hospital with the exception of getting or giving birth.  Different experience to say the least.

Day 213: In the rearview mirror

I have two kids, but you would never know it - one is a much more patient with mother about photos the other just wants to enjoy life.  I hope this one never really grows out of it, because I would truly miss him.

Day 212: The Road to Know-Where

Do you ever look up and stare at a tree?  Its branches are like paths - you hit a fork and you choose.  It doesn't matter which way you go; there is no right or wrong only choices.  Sometimes if you look long enough you aren't thinking about choices anymore your mind just wanders where it wants to go and the stress leaves your body and your mind is where it wants to be.  Sometimes you have to know where it is you want to be before you can choose a path.

And sometimes, you just find a little peace staring up at the branches of a tree.

Day 200: What is Behind the Green Door

I saw this and it struck me funny, interesting and different.  It was also the only photo I took today.

Images:  I watched a wonderful show on Ovation last night that I had recorded called the Eloquent Nude.  About Edward Weston & Charis Wilson.  It made me think different. I highly recommend watching it if you get the chance.

Day 199: The Park

Obviously on a black & white kick.  I loved the difference in texture from color to black & white.  It totally changed the picture for me.

Day 194: Can you see this?

I took my youngest to the eye doctor today.  It is always hard when we go to the eye doctor.  To say he has poor vision is an understatement.  To say we have an attentive eye doctor is an understatement.  She spent our appointment time and her lunch hour with us.  He's got eyes so bad they don't have a fraction to describe it - its worse than newborns, but you would never know it from watching him and he doesn't see it as anything else but life - for him its always been that way.  For his mother it's heartbreaking.

He is an amazing child.
