2012 Photo Challenge: Black & White Leaf

Challenge:  Black & White.  Week 1, Photo 1.  I found this leaf on a beautiful bed of green winter rye so green - the leaf dead as a doornail and dry as kindling, but for some reason it is WAY more appealing in black and white over the original color alternative.  It really makes the veins in the leaf pop.

I love a good walk in nature, it's even better on a beautiful fall day.  These were at eye level and I couldn't help but snap a quick pick.

You have to look hard to find good fall color in Texas, especially this early - but I found some.
