Day 334: Web

This is totally experimentation.  This am shot showed great web, but I really couldn't make it pop, so instead of giving it a dark color overlay to even out the back, I put a white one on to make the web pop and then posterized it.  Experimentation sometimes gives you interesting results.

Day 301: A Two-Fer

Today's theme was something blue.  He waited till I took the picture before he flew off.  But because you know my craziness for spiders, I can't help but post this one as well.

Scary isn't he.  He's an Orbweaver.  We looked it up.  He would stretch out as big or bigger than my whole hand.  ~shivers~

Day 293: Sun-kissed

I've been trying to take this web since the beginning of summer.  I've posted the spider before and I can't believe this guys been beside my parent's backdoor the entire summer, but finally, I got my shot.

Day 276: Web

I love to take spiderwebs, but they are not the easiest things to capture.  Well, at least for me.  This web was only visible when I got the background in the shade and even then it didn't really pop.  Until I converted to B&W  Then it took on an erie dismal tone that I loved.  It also feels abandoned without its spider.  Maybe he went on vacation....it is summer after all.

Day 192: Spider web

I got up this morning to this beautiful spider web, it was nasty and grey but the spider web wasn't wet.  I couldn't find my spray bottle, so I got my spray bottle of vinegar and made this pretty picture.  I don't think the spider is going to catch much after the vinegar though.

Sorry Mr. Spider.

Day 183: Spider Web

Its that time again - walking season.  I took a wonderful 5 mile walk on my favorite trail overlooking Dallas' White Rock Lake.  Beautiful!  I took a few pictures - almost all of them could have been in this spot tonight.

I had just put up my camera in its case, put it back on my back when BAM - this sucker was completely highlighted in the sun and covered in cottonwood cottony goodness.  Well, I couldn't walk by and not take this shot - and needed little processing.

Side note:  This puts me over the 1/2 way point in my 365 challenge - Woo Hoo!!!
