Day 242 Coming Home

Coming home from a party, I forgot my camera was on manual focus.  I took a shot and loved the colors. So for an uninspired photographer, I am enjoying an abstract today.

Day 204: This one has whiskers.

Day 173: Blur - unedited

Got up this morning and dropped the kids off at school and enjoyed the peace and quiet of my morning coffee on the back porch when a light bulb went off over my head.  The sun was in the perfect spot for a nice blur through the trees.

Day 146: A story

The boys and I went for a walk.

We saw some beautiful things.

The Bluebonnets were up, but not quite blooming.

It's St. Patrick's Day.

They threw some rocks into the stock tank.

Upon reflection.....

It was a beautiful spring day.

Day 133: Bokeh

I'm taking a day off of the 1000mm lens to participate in Theme Thursday which is bokeh.  This was taken at my favorite "picture-taking" spot. The Dallas Arboretum.  The strings are part of a garden sculpture.

Day 132: Acorn Top

This was the shot I was trying to get yesterday.  Finally did it.  YEA!  Persistence does pay off.

Manual:  I'm reading a whole section.  Its not manual Monday, but I need to catch up.

Day 130: Wet

 

  

It has been a wet and dreary day, and decided to use the 1000mm lens for something other than the moon.  I didn't even have to get wet, because I only opened the back door.  I didn't even plan it.

Day 127, Hellebore

I'm going to admit that I like the TV show Bones on Fox.  Recently, there was an episode in which they found a hellebore on the victim's boots.  Well, I was quite surprised to find this at my favorite picture taking spot.  I like the brightness of the flower even though its pointing down & I was quite happy with the bokeh.     It's really fun to find something unexpected, even though I probably have better photos from today, this is what stuck with me.
